I saw the beautiful Lissie doll and wow she looks great after getting her hair washed etc. is there a list of "safe" shampoos and conditioners to use on the dolls? My PM Samantha doll could use a good washing but all I have here is Garnier shampoo and herbel essence conditioner, lots of Suave here too in both kinds!

    Thanks!

Stop by a Sally's or a wig store and get wig shampoo and conditioner. It is important to remember that your doll's hair is modacrylic, essentially a fabric fiber and not "hair"... Thus, it does not soak up the proteins they put in people hair conditioners.

Gillygal has had great success with Pantene. Anyone else try Pantene? A lot of people have used the fabric softener, Downey, for the cream rinse stage. There are extensive instructions for this that were written by Joy, one of our moderators.

Does anyone know if the new Downey "Spray" works on fly aways?

I've been trying to fix Mari's hair, but I get a couple of fly aways. It's not enough to require washing, but I thought maybe misting her hair with teh Downey would help.

Anyone tried this? Or can suggest something else that might work?
